All data you enter into Gather (your tasks, journal entries, habits, notes, and preferences) is stored locally on your device using your device's built-in storage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the optional Wi-Fi sync feature.
Gather offers an optional local Wi-Fi sync between the mobile app and the Gather desktop app. This sync happens directly between your devices on your local network. No data passes through any server we operate or any third-party service. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud.
Gather does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The app does not contain any tracking SDKs.
The iOS app is distributed through the Apple App Store, and the desktop app is downloaded directly from this website. Apple may collect data about your downloads according to its own privacy policy, which is independent of Gather.
Gather does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we collect no data at all, there is nothing to disclose under COPPA or similar regulations.
If this policy ever changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the Gather release notes. We will never introduce data collection without clearly disclosing it here first.
